Managing Director

Ms. Pearl Griffin has been affiliated with Buffalo BioLabs since 2012 and moved to a senior management position during the company‚Äôs restructuring in October 2013. Ms. Griffin is responsible for daily operations, management of the research facilities and personnel, as well as overseeing major administrative areas including program management and finance. With 15 years of experience in the life sciences and project management, Ms. Griffin brings extensive experience in government and private contracting to the team. Prior to joining Buffalo BioLabs she was employed by Buffalo-based Department of Defense contractors Cleveland BioLabs, Inc. and CUBRC, while also contributing as an independent consultant in government proposal preparation.


Director, Preclinical Studies

Dr. Catherine Burkhart has been affiliated with Buffalo BioLabs since 2009. She is currently the Director of Preclinical Studies and is responsible for the planning and oversight of preclinical research. Dr. Burkhart has over 19 years of experience in drug discovery and drug development in the field of oncology. She has extensive experience in cytotoxicity and drug resistance, animal model optimization, toxicity and efficacy testing. Prior to joining Buffalo BioLabs, Dr. Burkhart was a long-time employee of Cleveland BioLabs, Inc in their drug discovery and development programs.


Director, Animal Resources

Ms. Jennifer Garrigan joined Buffalo BioLabs in 2013 as an Animal Research Technician and transitioned to a Director position in November, 2016.  Ms. Garrigan is responsible for planning, directing, executing and reporting on all studies performed under Animal Resources. Ms. Garrigan is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with 8 years experience in animal research and 14 years of animal care. Prior to joining Buffalo BioLabs, Ms. Garrigan was employed by Cleveland BioLabs Inc. and Nickel City Animal Hospital. She graduated Cum Laude from Medaille College with an AS in Veterinary technology and from SUNY Buffalo State with a BA in Integrative Biology.
