TOXICOLOGY

ADME

IN VITRO ADME

We offer in vitro ADME testing through our trusted partners. Available assays include metabolic stability, CYP inhibition, CYP induction, permeability, solubility, protein binding, drug transporters and blood & plasma stability among others.

IN VIVO PHARMACOKINETICS

Performing PK Studies are key to the selection of lead compounds with desirable bioavailability profiles for further investigation in drug development programs. Well-designed PK studies provide ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination) data to assist in the study design. Bioanalytical support is available at Buffalo BioLabs or samples can be shipped directly to Sponsor.

IN VIVO PHARMACODYNAMICS

PD studies offer various dosing routes, single or repeat doses, and multiple sample points over extended periods, with histology and pathology expertise available. Bioanalytical support is available at Buffalo BioLabs or samples can be shipped directly to Sponsor.

PATHOLOGY

A comprehensive assessment of pathological changes is integral to preclinical studies for determining safety, efficacy, and mechanism of action of novel drug candidates. Necropsy is performed to record and preserve gross morphological changes at the conclusion of in-life. Tissue and organs collected for analysis are preserved by snap freezing, formalin fixation, perfusion fixation, or fixed-frozen methods. Paraffin or cryo sample preparation is available for H&E and custom IHC staining. Services are performed by experienced histological technicians carefully adhering to all SOPs and study protocols and ensuring all samples are properly labeled, catalogued, and stored for in-house evaluation or shipment directly to Sponsor. Qualified histologist and pathologists are available to interpret staining results.
